Women in High Performance Computing (WHPC) was created with the vision to encourage women to participate in the HPC community by providing fellowship, education, and support to women and the organizations that employ them. Through collaboration and networking, WHPC strives to bring together women in HPC and technical computing while encouraging women to engage in outreach activities and improve the visibility of inspirational role models. Women in HPC is stewarded by EPCC at the University of Edinburgh.

STEM-Trek supports travel, mentoring and professional development for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) scholars from demographic groups that are typically underrepresented in their use of advanced cyberinfrastructure to accelerate scientific discovery. Beneficiaries are often from resource-constrained environments and are encouraged to pay-it-forward by volunteering at home to help others, or by supporting STEM-Trek in another way that fulfills its objectives.
The Women in IT Networking at SC (WINS) program is a three year program funded by the National Science Foundation and DOE/ESnet. It was developed as a means for addressing the prevalent gender gap that exists in Information Technology (IT) particularly in the fields of network engineering and high performance computing (HPC). It was originally introduced as a pilot program in November 2015 at the SC15 conference in Austin, Texas. The program enables five talented early to mid-career women from diverse regions of the U.S. research and education community IT field to participate in the ground-up construction of SCinet, one of the fastest and most advanced computer networks in the world. WINS is a joint effort between the Energy Sciences Network (ESnet), the Keystone Initiative for Network Based Education and Research (KINBER), and University Corporation for Atmospheric Research (UCAR).
WEPAN is the leading champion in North America for leveraging research and best practices to propel the inclusion of women in the field of engineering. WEPAN’s network connects advocates who actively pursue strategies and implement solutions to increase participation, retention and success of women and other under-represented groups in engineering from college to executive leadership.
